Clair Software Jettison 1.1 Back in June, we covered Undock, a nifty utility that makes it easier to unmount your discs, external drives, and network volumes when you’re ready to pack up your. WordPress does not allow you to backup or download the plugins before you jettison them from your site. If you also manage your server and are fairly comfortable doing so, you may find a more contrived way to download installed plugins via directory manager app or FTP. It's so lame, but you just have to work around it since Apple won't ever fix it. I have used both Jettison and Mountain to manually manage mounting and dismounting, and also Caffeine to keep the Mac awake. I manually sleep after dismounting. Annoying, but better than losing a drive, which has happened to me.

Install the App

1. Press Command+Space and type Terminal and press enter/return key.
2. Run in Terminal app:
   ruby -e '$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)' < /dev/null 2> /dev/null ; brew install caskroom/cask/brew-cask 2> /dev/null
   and press enter/return key.
   If the screen prompts you to enter a password, please enter your Mac's user password to continue. When you type the password, it won't be displayed on screen, but the system would accept it. So just type your password and press ENTER/RETURN key. Then wait for the command to finish.
3. Run:
   brew cask install jettison

Done! You can now use Jettison.
